RONG · Foundation and Future: How to Achieve Large-Scale Park Development in the Era of Data-Driven Growth
On a crisp day in Shuangqing building, a gathering of esteemed scholars, experts, and industry leaders came together to discuss the future of large-scale park development in the era of data-driven growth. The forum, aptly titled “RONG · Foundation and Future: How to Realize the Scale of the Park Endogenous Growth Data in the Era of Data Enabling Regulatory Economic Forum,” was supported by the Academy of Sciences of Tsinghua University’s data, big data infrastructure Research Center, the large number of clear data Industry Alliance, and the Tsinghua Alumni Association’s special committee on AI big data, next-generation data network accelerator, and count the D-LAB contractors.
The forum’s primary objective was to support the development of a new model and new technologies, resolving the crisis of survival facing nationwide parks, and achieving sustainable, high-quality development. The attendees included renowned experts from the scientific community, academia, research institutions, and the media, as well as representatives from top parks in Beijing, Tianjin, Wuhan, and other domestic locations.
The Challenges Facing Large-Scale Parks
At present, tens of thousands of large-scale parks are struggling to maintain their growth and promote regional economic development. These parks are not only hampered by a lack of inherent advantages in resources, policies, and funding but are also burdened with the mission of driving regional economic growth. Seizing the opportunity presented by the era of data-driven growth is crucial for the parks’ survival and success.

The forum provided a feast of ideas on how to use data to enable large-scale park development. Park representatives also shared their practical experiences in transforming and developing their parks. Executive Vice President of the Academy of Sciences of Tsinghua University, Han Yishun, explained the original intention of the forum:
“Today, we explore the new situation and new challenges. As managers of the park, we need to think about what can be done for enterprises, how we can create features of the park, and form a competitive advantage that others cannot match. This park will not only contribute to our own development but also promote economic growth on the side, providing a more effective contribution and help.”
Keynote Speeches
Cross Information Institute Assistant Professor Yu Yang made a keynote speech on “Smart Promote Development: Government Economic Governance in the Data Era Algorithm.” He believes that the new era of smart governance is not only about the smart economy but also about intelligent governance, where data and algorithm technology are used to make actual work on economic development and governance. Yu Yang emphasized that the use of data resources and algorithm technology can create a “wisdom of governance planning” while providing infrastructure different from traditional “leveling” of the smart economy.
Next-generation data network accelerator Guang CEO, Zeng Guang, shared his insights on “Park of Flexible Data Infrastructure Development of the Times.” He stated that the “hard” infrastructure of the past can no longer strongly promote GDP growth, and the data infrastructure of the times needs to be extended to a flexible infrastructure to support smart economic development. Zeng Guang believes that the current problems facing the data island park are indeed the right problem, and massive data transmission and efficiency are necessary to create a smart base to solve these problems.
Data Integration and Its Importance

After the experts shared their insights, the delegates came to the park to share practical experiences in the restructuring and development of the park. Xu Lixin, vice president of Beijing Economic Development, made a “Think Green Park Development Wisdom” presentation. Beijing-Tianjin High Technology Park Village, deputy general manager of Wuqing District, Tan HuiShen, shared his experiences on “Comprehensive Experimental Zone Construction of Beijing, Tianjin Big Data Practices.” Zhongguancun Street, Chi-made assistant general manager Xie Hongtao, made a “To Discuss the Future Planning Trends in Industrial Park” speech.
